The first payout has been made from the HOPR Hats vault! 🔥
Security researcher Rahul (saxenism.com) spotted a sneaky oversight in the staking contract: under certain circumstances staker funds could be locked if the contract owner (the HOPR comm team multisig) prematurely reclaimed tokens sent to the contract in error.
Internal processes meant this would never happen so no funds were ever at risk. But we’re still grateful for the spot and will be updating this in future staking seasons. 🐞💀
