It’s time for your tri-weekly #DevUpdate! 🛠️ This has been a productive sprint for our Devs, so let’s see what they’ve been up to 🧑🏻‍💻 🟡 Firstly, we’ve integrated a @grafana setup for HOPR nodes across all three platforms: 👉 Local Docker 👉 Dappnode 👉 Avado 🟡 This means very soon, you’ll be able to see a whole array of new metrics to monitor your nodes, from basic data consumption to detailed heartbeat metrics. 🎯 github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/4472 🟡 On the community side, guides to access these dashboards/metrics and how to interpret and use them will be released in the coming weeks as the new release rolls out 🏔️ 🟡 Next up, we’ve migrated our smart contract toolchain from Hardhat to Foundry. This is a significant milestone in our ongoing goal to move our project from TypeScript and Node.js over to Rust by the end of Q2 github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/4230 🟡 Once we’ve migrated our project, we’ll leverage Rust's low-level optimisations to bring you a more efficient and reliable, feature-complete version of the HOPR mixnet by the end of Q3! 🙏 🟡 After hitting those two large milestones, we finish the sprint off with several bug fixes, two notable ones being: 1️⃣ A fix for the Invalid announcement of multi-addresses on Dappnode/Avado github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/4467 2️⃣ Fixed duplicate handling of nodes on the Network Registry database github.com/hoprnet/hoprnet/pull/4454 🟡 Finally, we added a contribution to clap (a Rust library for CLI argument handling). The contribution allows the parsing of environment variables from a custom source. github.com/clap-rs/clap/pull/4605 🟡 As we push to scale our network and bring you a fully fledged HOPR mixnet, it’s important we add as many quality nodes to the network as possible.
